In early 2013, Lindsay Harkey joined Live Oak Bank as a Relationship Manager during which time she serviced a portfolio of 90 borrowers. Next, she served as a Loan Officer for the healthcare team, helping originate and package SBA loans for dentist and doctors across the country. Now, as Head of the Healthcare lending team, she leads efforts in providing financing that helps doctors and dentists build or buy the practice of their dreams.

William joined Live Oak Bank with 26 years of veterinary and medical lending experience. As a Senior Loan Officer, he analyzes and structures practice loans to meet the needs of small business owners. Specializing in construction financing, William understands the nuances and specific requirements of ground-up construction projects. His knowledge and experience provide a great resource for both doctors and veterinarians seeking financing.

Bert Smith

Bert Smith is a Loan Officer from the Dental & Medical financing team of Live Oak Bank. He has helped hundreds of dentists across the United States obtain financing for real estate and construction projects. Previously, he worked with pharmacy customers in Live Oak Bank’s Business Advisory Group. He is a graduate from the Gatton School of Business and Economics at the University of Kentucky with specializations in economics and finance.

Chandler Wrightenberry

Chandler Wrightenberry joined the Business Advisory Group at Live Oak Bank in 2014. His primary focus was managing the northeast pharmacy portfolio, which was comprised of over 100 customers and 100 million dollars in loans. After a year in his Business Advisor role, Chandler was promoted to underwriting. In that position, he worked with multiple industries and deal types, including acquisitions, construction, expansions and more. Currently, Chandler focuses on providing healthcare professionals across the country financing for commercial real estate and construction projects. Chandler is a graduate of Elon University, where he played four years of college football.

Nick Esquire is a graduate of Duquesne University located in Pittsburgh, PA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Nick joined Live Oak Bank in 2017 as a Business Analyst on the Healthcare Lending Team. Since joining the Healthcare Team as a Business Analyst, he also worked in an Underwriting and now as a Loan Officer. As a Loan Officer on the Healthcare lending team, Nick is focused on providing practice financing solutions for Dental & Medical professionals nationwide. Nick currently resides in Wilmington with his wife Lexi and their dogs Buoy and Abbey.

Thomas Rutherford joined Live Oak in 2019 as a business analyst, where he managed the West Coast dental and medical portfolio. He then moved to the healthcare lending team in 2021 where he continues to serve the West Coast. Thomas is a graduate of Cameron School of Business at UNC Wilmington with majors in business analytics and supply chain. Outside of Live Oak, you will find Thomas officiating soccer and enjoying all the Wilmington area has to offer.

Meghan Potter joined Live Oak Bank in 2015 as a loan closing specialist. She closed 175 loans in 13 industries before she became a business analyst in 2018. In that role, she supported customers in the healthcare industry. She began managing the team as a lead business analyst in 2020. Currently, she is a loan officer where she analyzes financing opportunities and aids in movement through the loan process. Meghan is a double graduate of UNC Wilmington’s Cameron School of Business with a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Business Administration degree, specializing in economics, finance and mathematics in her undergraduate studies. She resides in Wilmington, NC and is an active player of the Cape Fear Women’s Rugby team.

Chris Maurer joined Live Oak Bank in 2022 and serves as VP of Healthcare Lending. He graduated from Texas A&M in 1994 and received his MBA in 2000 from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. Chris has worked with dentists and doctors for 21 years and has been SBA lending since 2016. Prior to Live Oak, Chris worked at Bank of America Practice Solutions and Phelps Commercial Realty as a tenant rep for dentists and doctors, and then United Community Bank, where he focused on SBA lending. In his spare time, Chris enjoys playing golf and traveling with his wife, Lori.

Jamie Hardy

Jamie Hardy is a dental and medical lending veteran with over 22 years of experience in the business. Jamie has worked through 265 successful mergers and acquisitions, including buy-ins, buy-outs, & walk away doctor transitions. He is a seasoned negotiator and client advocate and has established over $400MM in client loans over his career. Jamie is fluent in Spanish and loves to travel to the Caribbean and Latin America. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, wake surfing, camping, fishing, hunting, and attending sporting events.

Kayla Chapman is a graduate of the Cameron School of Business at UNC Wilmington with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Kayla joined Live Oak Bank in 2020 as a business analyst, where she managed a portfolio of over 100 veterinarians located on the West Coast. After a little over a year in her business analyst role, she was promoted to underwriting, where she worked primarily with the self-storage industry. She then moved to the Healthcare Lending Team in 2022, where she provides practice financing solutions for dental and medical professionals.
